July 7-13, 2018 - Teen Summer Camp and Mission Trip Yosemite National Park

Pastor Joe Mazzela of Mt. View Church in Wildomar took local teens sponsored by Community Outreach Ministry to teach Vacation Bible School (VBS) to impoverished children ages 4-10 living in Yosemite Village.   Campers will perform skits, music, arts and crafts teaching VBS Monday -  Friday, 9:00am to noon. Campers will also be participating in Chapel Services edifying their spirit through worship and the ministry of the WORD. Yosemite provides an incredible opportunity for these youth to have fun in the great outdoors with friends at the breath taking Yosemite National Park. Community Outreach Ministry wishes to thank Denise Ronzello and gals from Shear Expressions Beauty Salon in Wildomar for hosting a summer Camp fundraiser. And, Temecula Sunrise Rotary Club for sponsoring four scholarships. We are also grateful to our resource partners Angel Tree and Prison Fellowship and others for their donations sending Teens to Camp.
These scholarships are forever changing and improving the lives of these teens and those they served to have a God given vision and destiny.

More campers will be leaving later this month for a trip to the San Bernardino Mountains.

Dr. Mona Davies participated at SAFER Lake Elsinore Unified School District (LEUSD) collaborative today.

She offered the Breaking the Cycle of Incarceration Model and resource lists for children of incarcerated parents, caregivers and incarcerated parents to collaborative members. Members were asked to provide Dr. Davies with their business cards.

The model and resource lists provide comprehensive community-based services and support systems helping to break the cycle of poverty, illiteracy, drugs, gangs, delinquency, incarceration and reduce recidivism.
